We dinosaur fans have waited six long years for a fourth instalment in the Jurassic Park franchise . . . and jeez, it looks like we'll be waiting quite a bit longer.
The project is still in pre-production, that nightmare other world in which script, director, actors, heck, even the whole idea, can be canned. It was originally scheduled for release in 2008, but 2009 now looks more likely.
While it's fairly certain Steven Spielberg won't direct, he is apparently keeping an eye on things as executive producer. There are also strong rumours Laura Dern will return as Dr. Ellie Sattler, but that Sam Neil and Jeff Goldblum aren't aboard this one.
Given the advances in CGI since Jurassic Park lll in 2001, expect the dinos to look cooler and more lifelike than ever.
Like, hurry up with this one, eh Steven?
